Council-Approved Term permits are required for significant structures, skybridges, and tunnels. When approved, term permits are typically issued for a 10-year term, which can be renewed twice, not to exceed a maximum of a 30-year term. Revocation of a term permit is governed by Seattle Municipal Code Chapters 15.64 and 15.65. Public Space Management staff can coach applicants to determine when a term permit is needed.
